The Area

La Madelène is located between the villages of Malaucène and Entrechaux, 5 minutes by car from either. We are 10 minutes to the south of the ancient Roman town of Vaison-La-Romaine; 30 minutes from the major towns of Orange and Carpentras; and 45 minutes from the beautiful city of Avignon with it`s Papal palace, pont Saint- Benezet, and quality shopping.

The property is situated in the foothills of Mont Ventoux at an elevation of c. 300m which helps temper the fierce Provencal summer heat. Just to the west are the beautiful Dentelles de Montmirail - these stunning limestone crags lead on to the escarpment that embraces some of the southern Rhone Valleys finest Cru and Villages level wines and the most attractive of villages including Gigondas, Beaumes de Venise and Vacqueras.
